Frequency of sessions is determined by the therapist and client together after the intake session. Best practice is for weekly therapy attendance when starting out but biweekly sessions may be appropriate for those without intense symptoms. Clients looking for ongoing monitoring and support with maintaining therapeutic gains may only need therapy once a month.
